1. Qualification

        This program is offered only to applicants who meet the following:

  • 1.1 Applicants do not have overseas Chinese status, or Hong Kong and Macau citizen status, and who do not hold a Republic of China passport.

 

  • 1.2 If applicants formerly held Republic of China nationality, they should have officially given up my R.O.C. nationality for at least eight years, up until the beginning date of the first term in which they seek admission on National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

     

  • 1.3 Applicants did not apply for admission as the overseas Chinese status at any university in the Republic of China.

  •  

    • International students who have already completed a degree program, excluding applying graduate degree programs, or who have been expelled from any R.O.C. university, are not eligible to re-apply for admission. Breaking either of the above rules would result in immediate cancellation of the applicant’s admission or the applicant will be deprived of his recognized status as a student of NTUST.

       

      2. Academic degree requirements

      Doctoral program Applicants must be holders of a master's degree in a related field from a foreign or domestic university or independent research institute that is recognized by the Ministry of Education.
      Master’s program Applicants must be holders of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a related field from a university or independent college.
      Two-year undergraduate program: Applicants must be graduates of technical junior colleges or the equivalent
      Four-year undergraduate program: Applicants must be graduates of a technical senior high school or the equivalent

     

    3. Semester period

    NUTST runs 2 semesters in each academic year. Spring semester is scheduled from February to June, while fall semester is from September to January of the following year.

    4. Application

        Applications are only accepted via applying on line.  Please click "Application" on the left  to

          enter   "on line application system".

    5. Programs opened to international students for fall 2009.
